De Mascotte prominent at Concours d’Élégance Paleis Het Loo
De Mascotte, automotive association of Rolls-Royce and Bentley owners, is also present this year and has an own stand, complement with two show pavilions.
On the stand itself, two special cars can be admired, an exclusive Rolls-Royce from the Louwman Museum (visible for the first time outside the museum) and an exclusive private Bentley.
On the outside of the stand, there are two show pavilions situated, where the Rolls-Royce’s and the Bentley’s can be admired. It is a nice cross section of cars from past and present, all cars are of our club members! On the event area, a number of club-related companies will offer their business and services.
De Mascotte was founded on November 4, 1990. At that time the association was still called “Association of Rolls-Royce and Bentley Owners”. This name was changed to De Mascotte in November 1993 because the brand names of both car brands are protected. Yet, the old name still indicates what we are in heart and soul. De Mascotte has about 550 members with about 1100 cars of the brands Rolls-Royce and Bentley in their possession.
De Mascotte supports the members with the wearing of a Rolls-Royce or Bentley with technical advice. De Mascotte also knows a result and offers members a cheap car insurance policy. Purchase inspections and valuations are carried out by a technical expert and are recognized by the club insurance company.
Every year, De Mascotte holds a number of national events: the General Members’ Meeting followed by the New Year’s reception, the spring ride, the picnic, the technical day and the autumn ride. Other activities can involve multi-day rally’s, rides with a social aspect (with sick people, the disabled etc.) of foreign journeys.
In addition to the national events, regional events are organized in each of the five regions by the regional manager’s management. Often this is a Koffie & Klets, where the members can enjoy a snack and drink.
