I own a classic car. Can I enter the Concours d’Élégance?
The Concours d’Élégance Paleis Het Loo is divided in one section: the International Concours. If your vehicle qualifies for inclusion in one of this year’s selected classes, you may be eligible to enter. However, it is essential that your car and its driver(s) also meet all terms and conditions of the Event Regulations. The easiest way to check whether this is the case is to email all relevant information (with a photo of the vehicle if possible) to email@example.com.
I own a pre-war car. Can I take part in the Sprint?
The Sprint is organized in association with the Dutch Vintage Sports Car Club. Contact the club directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I park on the event site?
The Paleis Het Loo car park is reserved for VIP guests and disabled permit holders only. There are nearby parking facilities for all other visitors, including an area for classic cars. Full details can be found on the Directions and Parking page.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are not permitted on the event site, partly for safety reasons during the Sprint. Guide dogs and other assistance dogs are of course welcome.
Is the event wheelchair-accessible?
Most of the event takes place on the lawns of Paleis Het Loo. Although accessible, the grass surface is not particularly wheelchair-friendly. The palace gardens are also accessible but have gravel paths. There are disabled parking places within the palace grounds. The entrance is on Amersfoortseweg.
Adults accompanying a disabled visitor must pay the standard admission charge.
I have a ‘Museumkaart’ pass. Is it valid for the event?
No. The standard admission charge applies.
I live close to Paleis Het Loo. How will the event affect me?
We wish to make the Concours d’Élégance Paleis Het Loo an enjoyable event for everybody and will therefore try to keep noise to an absolute minimum. That said, a party in your neighbour’s garden will rarely go unnoticed.
To ensure the safety of visitors and vehicles, we intend to close off the site with fences. They will also assist in security and access control. The fences will be in place for no more than one week.
A barbecue for competitors is to be held on the evening of Saturday 30 June. There will be live (amplified) music until no later than midnight.
The event is likely to result in heavier traffic on local roads. We have provided additional parking facilities to minimize nuisance.
If you nevertheless experience any nuisance or disturbance, please let us know. We shall do our best to resolve the situation. May we also remind you that we offer reduced admission charges for local residents? We would be pleased if you could join us!
Read more
